Some time ago I realized that I was a different sort of musician. When I listened to the christian radio stations I was being lulled to sleep by the ‘mush’ that they aired. It was all artists; the new ones, the old ones, the famous ones. They were all being careful not to say anything in song that would hurt their CD sales. They were singing to itching ears. I had enough. I shut off the radio and have not turned it on for over 15 years. Why would I want to be lulled to sleep when there is a battle raging every moment of every day?
I was attending a 10 week school on the gifts of the Spirit. Somewhere around week 7 I started to hear some music that I had not heard before. It was not on the radio. It was not in the room at all. It was in my spirit and it was as plain as day to me. So I got up from my place in the class, took pen and paper and found a closet to shut out the classroom sounds. That is when it all started.
“Wake up ye mighty men of war.
Put praises on the lips of Zion.
Now, let the weak say ‘I am strong in executing judgement on the nations.’
Come, get thee up. Wake up ye mighty.
Come, get thee up. Wake up ye mighty.
Come, get thee up. Wake up ye mighty.
Wake up you mighty men of war!”
(“Wake Up Ye Mighty” from the album ‘Wake Up Ye Mighty’)
That was the beginning.
That is music for Christian Warriors. The music has come a long way since 1993. We are now creating music that is specifically for people who pray. These are the true warriors. These are the ones who need to hear a refreshing sound. Not one that will lull them to sleep but one that will help them to stir up the inner man and help them to make war in the heavenly realms.
The music will come to this realm soon. I hope also to be able to teach you how to hear the ‘real’ music that is in the spirit now and every moment of your life. That is the true Music for the Christian Warrior.
