(Original Source Unknown)

Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:
‘I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property – until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.’

When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe .
Thomas Jefferson

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.
Thomas Jefferson

It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.
Thomas Jefferson

I predict future happiness for
Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
Thomas Jefferson

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.
Thomas Jefferson

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.
Thomas Jefferson

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
Thomas Jefferson

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Thomas Jefferson

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.
Thomas Jefferson

I heard a message once about God’s Benediction. If you have not heard of this before then a great secret of God’s Seasons awaits you.

The people that I know go through life trying to manipulate God’s will. Yes, I am in that list too. It is an action learned from many goodly intentions but is contrary to truth. On one hand they quote ‘Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen.’ and that fuels the fire. Then they add ‘whatsoever you ask, believe that you have received it and …’, well, they step onto the path of presumtion of the self made man.

Though those quotes are true in themselves, they are not necessarily paired up in the eyes of the Creator. Oh, and then there is Malachi and the tithing scriptures. Further manipulation of the people and their God in heaven. So let me get to the point.

Our Father in heaven is the most perfect example of a father that there is. He corrects us when we go astray (we are not born into a family that cares not). He rewards us when we do well. He surrounds us with His protection and keeps us in His safe harbour until He can send us out as lambs among wolves, because He knows that He has trained us up as warriors and conquereres; wise as serpents and meek as doves.

So, when God speaks, will you know it? Yes, of course. You will not have to take the Gideon approach. You may even hear His voice or see His hand, but when the experience comes it is unforgettable.

My latest experiece with God’s Benediction was in October of 2009. I am dating this because it was a real and personal event. I had been listening to the Gospels on CD as I travelled to and from work just over an hour one way. Then on a Sunday afternoon during a time of worship I saw the tomb of Lazarus.

Jesus said ‘Lazarus. Come forth.’ and out from that toomb came one covered and bound hand and foot. He could not walk. Perhaps he was carried by the angels. Then Jesus said ‘Loose him and let him go’. I saw the men standing by unbinding his grave cloths to set him free.

Then Jesus turned to me and said ‘Today, I am doing this to you.’ and from that day to this day I have been a free man. I no longer work for corporate america. They have downsized me for the last time. I am working on a special project for God now; buiding an energy system that may just change the world; God knows. He is providing me with the tools and the income to accomplish His will. In what some would say should be a difficult time for me, He is providing all that I need and more.

Am I a member of the ‘clergy’? No. Am I a traveling musician and worship leader? No. Am I doing the kind of stereotypical work of God? No, not at all. I am still performing within the occupation that I enjoy which is Engineering and I am working for God. He spoke a word over me; a benediction. He called me forth and that word will last a lifetime.

You will not miss it when He speaks His Benediction over you. Be of good cheer. Continue to work with your hands and strengthen your inner man through prayer and medetation on God’s Word. Keep your eyes on the Father and watch Him as he speaks over your brothers and sisters. Do not be jealous for what they are receiving but rather be joyful in what God is doing in their lives as this will prepare you for the day when He speaks again; over you.

True Riches by Jim Hronchek

Long I’ve sought riches the start being forgotten
This worldly system of losses and gains
Some are disbursed with every man’s passing
Then moth and corrosion remove what remains

But riches will seldom replace what was taken
When eye, ear or limb has been stolen away.
Only true riches can replace these omissions
Only true riches can brighten this day

Should we now forsake all this world has to offer
One thing would replace what was once cast away
Help us be stewards of all You have given
That all your true riches be given us this day.

It is time for you to ask yourself ‘Why am I doing this? Why am I continually making music that few hear and fewer appreciate?’ I have an answer for you here …

When?your motivation to make music is to please people, you are on a track to failure. Sure, some musicians and songwriters seem to succeed in this, but in the end they find themselves unfulfilled. They can’t seem to please everyone. Neither will you be able to please everyone.

So it is time to change the motivation and?the reason for pushing yourself to your limits. You need to get rid of the idea that you are ministering to man and return to ministering to God. He is the only one who will appreciate any effort that you make to minister to Him. This is the first step.

The next step is to return to your heart’s cry. Return to your inner man’s desire to worship his Creator. You cannot satisfy man, but you can satisfy God. He is only interested in your earnest heartfelt desire to give Him thanks and to give Him the honor that is due His name. Open your heart again to Him; the God and Father of our Lord Christ Jesus. Hold nothing back.

Now the ultimate. Do this when there is no one around. Find a quiet place to worship Him alone. This is where you find out if you really do love Him as a son loves his Father; when there is no worldly?gain. David spent a lot of time in the fields watching the flocks and ministering to the Lord where there was none to hear; no one who could pat him on the back and say ‘Hey Dave. That was great. Maybe you should publish that one.’

Do you remember this parable? The servants work hard?in the fields all day. When the day is done they return to the Master’s house where they minister to Him. When His needs are satisfied, then they are free to rest. Remember that one? Your work is not done until you have ministered to the Lord.?You may have some success ministering to men, but you?will?not be satisfied until you have ministered to the King.

Spend time with Him. You will never regret a moment given to your King, the Lord and Master of all.

This is the beginning of the new album called ‘Only Guitar’. I thought about calling it ‘Only Strings’ but that might imply that the music was primarily violins. Then I talked to my spouse and we agreed that the name would allow inclusion of the piano as well. So there is a chance that before it is finished the name may change again. Time will tell. You may hear a piano and strings before it is all done.

Yes, it is a work in progress.

about the times when I led worship for the congregation on a regular basis; Morning, Evening and Friday Nights. I remember the music that came ‘on the wings of a Dove’, so to speak.

There was a group of us practicing one Wednesday evening in the sanctuary. We were just jamming, making up music, when the thought came to open the Bible to Psalms 34. I hadn’t read it for a long while and really had no rememberance of what was written there.

We had several singers, piano, guitar and bass. We took turns reading some of the verses or singing them and things got real heavy in there. We were saying, ‘I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise will continually be in my mouth’. Wow. It still chills me to hear the words.

Worship is an act of your will. Either you will?or you won’t. That’s it. It is a whole lot better when you ‘will’ to worship. Things happen when you set your will in motion and agreement with God’s written word.

‘My soul will trust in Thee, Lord. The humble will hear thereof and be glad.’ Yes, they’ll be glad alright.

‘So magnify the Lord and let us exalt His name in one accord. Let us exalt His name together. Together!’

So a song was born, not of the will of man, but of the will of God. Psalm 34 by Jim and Chandra Hronchek from the album ‘Just For You’ to be published soon.
